SDP accuses FG, warns against intimidation of its presidential candidate

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has warned that attempts at intimidating its presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Prince Adebayo, would fail.

Director General of the Campaign Team, Solomon Dalung made the call at a world news conference in Abuja.

He stated that the functionaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are generating documents as well as trying to use the police to intimidate the SDP presidential candidate through fake records of alleged criminal issues.

Dalung urged Nigerians to elect credible candidates in 2023, stressed that the SDP boasts of such, that can bring back prosperity to the country. However, he expresses reservations over some of the issues that are plaguing campaigns ahead of the 2023 polls.

He decried the flagrant use of government paraphernalia for campaigns by APC candidates, therefore, narrowing the space for other contenders.

He also condemned the APC for using government aircraft to run its campaign, said is an abuse of power, that if such assets are provided for one candidate, the same treatment should be accorded to others.

Former Minister of sports, Dalung charged presidential candidates of all political parties to embrace issue-based campaigns, focusing on issues like security, poverty and those that are not in power should tell Nigerians what they will do.

“Nigerians should not vote in leaders based on sentiments, religion, ethnicity.’ – SDP Presidential Candidate with his manifesto will solve all the problems facing the nation, vote for the right person as Prince Adewole Adebayo is ready to answer the calls.” Dalung gives #HopeAgain.
