Lagos based Rights Activist and Politician, Ayomipe Jatto, has commends Gov. Sanwo-olu’s ban on Commercial Motorcycles popularly called Okada which was extended recently in more Four Local Government Areas and five Local Council Development Areas of the state.
“ Your enforcement on Okada ban was a great step to reduce crime in Lagos State, has we can now boost of safer environment.” said Ayomipe Jatto
The Activist called it a biggest Political risk, and also a courageous move by the governor, which his predecessors didn’t take. Jatto applauds Sanwo-olu for considering the safety of Lagosians first over his Political ambition.“ This bold step taken send a good signal of having the Lagos of our dream, a Crime free and noise free Lagos.”
Jatto urge the sanwo-olu administration to create an employment opportunity for legitimate Okada riders in alternative Lagos State transport system like Lag-ride, BRT and the newly introduced railway system.
